Uhh.. Just out of curiosity, why on earth would you type in the world 'failure' anyway?
Google is an indexed based engine, the more links that lead to a page, the engine assumes it to be more significant. Google bombs are like this - a whole bunch of people make links using the same descriptive text, it raises the significance for a search using that word, and whoopie, Google becomes a bastion of liberalness.
French military successes is a 'rightwing' favorite, and there's some for Clinton. It's childish pranks, nothing more.

Long story short: it's been googlebombed.
Search "french military victories" and then click "I feel lucky". You also end up with an interesting result.
