End of the Quest

Briar, briar, twisted tight,
remember well this lovely night,
where spell was wrought to come undone
will be completed by morning sun.
Look where she lies, asleep alone,
While father slumbers on his throne,
and scullery maids sleep on their brooms
and spiders dream while at their looms,
You cannot stop the prince this night,
Your thorns that guard fail in his sight,
When his lips touch hers, the last veil torn,
Your thorns will vanish come the morn.
The spindle's spell will come to rest,
and your leaves adorn her wedding dress.

Again

Can you hear it, just there, lass
that oh so soft whisper on the wind
telling of other times and other lives
that walked the glen before us

They to did work and play, rant and cuss
and tip toe gentle past some farmer’s hives
and in the deep grasses pause, and sinned
beside a stream, in times so swift to pass

Words they whispered soft and dear
and pledges made before the coming of a King
and now their spent as their time is too
were they like us or we like them I think

Memories into history do fade and sink
lost in fogs of yesteryear as all things do
but sometimes passed on like a wedding ring
they bind us to those now far from fear

In the glen we walk and share the silence there
hand in hand we stroll amid the verdant greens of home
part of them lives in us and so we softly share
across the span of time we touch a common moment

When passions rage and finally fall away so spent
we, like them, take time to reflect and softly care
here in the glen we find the reasons not to roam
the hearts do entwine at the touch of a master’s care

Oh my, this is beautiful. Like a step into anothers dream.

These words of mine do not express the feelings your poem have evoked in me. I can't find the words right now.
