Long story short: I went...
Not that I was thrilled about it though--naturally I tend to abhor weddings. Especially one with nearly 600 people at it. Don't exactly know why--just that I do.
OTOH, it was country-western themed. So I was able to pretty much wear a polo shirt and khakis.
Was able to socialize with a few people during cocktail hour--one guy was an admissions counselor at a previous college I attended; another couple were relatives from near Buffalo. Saw a cousin and an aunt who I hadn't seen in years.
Had a couple of drinks and a three-course dinner. Chocolate fountain. (Is probably going to derail my momentum for losing the so-called "Freshman Fifteen"--the weight I gained since graduating high school. I finally dipped back to the 250 mark yesterday.
I had an out to dancing as I am still recovering from surgery and hobbling around. Not that it mattered-I only went up once and hobbled around when it came time to toss the garter (didn't catch it).
Other than that, not too exciting.
