I was at the first anniversary memorial for Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA, September 11, 2002. I took more than 100 photos, because I figured it would never look the same again.
I have made wallpapers and a (Windows) screen saver out of 20 or so of them. And I would like to get them spread around in time for the fifth anniversary.
I have 40 wallpapers altogether, amounting to 6.88 MB total size. Individually, they average around 175 KB. And the screen saver install executable is 7.88 MB.
I am lone blogger, and I simply cannot financially afford a big hit to my bandwidth. Is there some place I can host the files effectively that wouldn't cost me anything?
Would imageshack (for the wallpapers) and/or supload (for the screen saver) be a good way?
I blogged some of my photos a long time ago; they are here, if you'd like to get an idea of what I'm doing: Remember September 11. But I have rescanned the photos and photoshopped the images more aesthetically this time around.
Try Photobucket http://photobucket.com/
Worldisround.com is good depending on what you want to do with them. Here's one of mine. http://www.worldisround.com/articles/54892/
Thanks. I didn't know about worldisround.
Thanks, Claire.
Thank you for sharing your pictures.
Do a Google search for 'free web hosting' and compare the various choices. Simple.
Feedback would be appreciated.
nice
Thanks. Now I need to figure out where to host the screen saver. I have an EXE and a ZIP and an RAR.
