I've actually wondered in the past why I ~haven't~ seen raccoons here, they could certainly find food and mischief in the barn. Could be the dogs keep them wary enough, could be the pack of coyotes in the back forty.
I hate raccoons!!
There are very few creatures that I really loathe, but coons are one of them! One attacked my little brother when he was about 6 years old and I've held a grudge ever since. (He's 38 now.)
