Well, better get it fired up. My girlfriend said that she would actually sew the legs of her jeans so the legs would fit tighter.
I don't know if she ever tied a bandana around her leg, she would not tell me.
I am a kid of the 80's, still listen to my 80's cds and think that was the best generation of music.

Me too. My iPod is loaded with Ramones, Elvis Costello, Blondie, early REM, The Specials, The Clash, Dire Straits, Human League, Fine Young Cannibals, etc.

Nice. I was a big REM fan before they became freaks and that "happy shiney people" garbage.
My favorite was the Alarm, The Clash, The Talking Heads, Madness, Specials. I was a big Ska fan.

Do you remember Friday Night Videos? We didn't have cable where I grew up so we had a half @ssed video show, no MTV.

Mullet hair is coming back too. I have seen some wanna-be stoner types with what looks likes poodle hair.

The crimpers? I used to crimp my hair. I looked wonderful! :-)

Really? I guess its every 20 years everything comes back.

I noticed this too (about twenty years ago). Unfortunately, there are some people who still won't give up their '70s comeback. Yuck.

I remember back in the '80s seeing "My Generation" on VH-1 and hearing about shows like Thirty-Something. The whole time thinking that these people needed to get over themselves and get out of the past. Now my generation is doing the same thing. BTW, I downloaded and burned a CD that I listen to while writing that has songs from 1988 and 1989.

I still play my XTC cds. What a great band, that never got the recognition they really deserved.

Excitement!

I cannot wait to break out my black jumpsuit that I wore with the wide red leather belt, red plastic jewelry, and red FMPs!

Or the hot-pink shirt dress that I accessorized with turquoise!

I wonder if I can convince Xena's Guy to start dressing like one of the guys from Poison.

I never wore leggings with a skirt. Too Grandma Moses for me. Minis all the way, baby!

Leggings are just butt-ugly unless you're built like a teenage boy. They descend from the hiney straight down the legs and make them look like tree trunks.

You've never seen "Zoolander", have you? Rent it today, watch it tonight, and thank me tomorrow.

It's truly stupid, yet funny. And it explains the origin of the piano-key necktie.

I never could crimp my hair - it's too thick. I also never could get it to feather like Blair on "Facts of Life."

Friday Night Videos and Night Flight!

And after we did get MTV, we got Headbangers' Ball!

Who is the Dems Mayor of Simpleton?

Greatest bass line ever in that song. And "Chalkills and Children" is such a beautiful tune, Andy at his best songwriting (sure beats some of his tripe like 'Melt the Guns')

I'll have to dig out my hot pink (ripped) short-sleeved sweatshirt with the black tiger-stripes on it. That I wore with...

you guessed it....

black leggings.
