poor guy
This gut feeling is probably akin to finding out the kid you raised for 21 years wasn't yours. LOL

I play $2 a week. It works out to 0.08% of my income, roughly. I consider it entertainment. In the long run, I'd probably have 10 shares of GE by now if i had put it in the market, but the lottery is way more fun, especially considering I only play $2 a week

That would suck tremendously.
But I wouldn't sue the paper.
If he wins big bucks, the papers will simply stop publishing the numbers. It isn't worth it.

"I felt sick," he told Global Television. "I never said a word. I was weak, I was sweaty, I was so upset." He told Global that he has a heart condition, and has not been able to work or sleep since discovering the error.Sucker ....

If I was the judge and jury, this man would win this case. I would award the man just what he deserves, a refund for whatever he paid for the paper.

Stupidity tax. I am amused by people who think they are smarter than others just because their preferences differ. If someone spent $2 per week on a food you don't like, would that be "stupid" too?

His national health-care will fix him right up, and they wont even charge him another $2.

Stupidity tax. Yeah, that $2 could be so much better spent at a strip club.

Printing the wrong numbers is complete garbage and they should be liable for publishing a falsehood like that - but the guy's crybaby act is a bit much.

I got a good story along these lines. Years ago, I applied for a big promotion at work. I was told Friday afternoon that I got the job and my manager called to congratulate me. I went out that night and celebrated with my wife. I come in Monday expecting to get all the details on my new promotion and raise and whatnot.
Instead, I was greeted by my ashen-faced manager who told me that a terrible mistake was made. The promotion had actually gone to another person and the HR department screwed up and gave him the wrong name. At least that was the story and everybody stuck to it.
So I know how this guy feels. But sometimes you just have to suck it up and get on with it. (I did eventually get that job a year or two later).

I'm with you. Not that I play much. But, like almost all entertainment...it's costs money. Go out to Dinner (stupid...you could have made it yourself for less). Movies? (stupid overpriced leftist support). Pro Sports game (REALLY stupid...you probably already paid tax to pay for the seat in the stadium your paying for to sit in) Go skiing?? (Beyond stupid - spending $100 on a lift ticket so you can freeze your butt off)
Not one of those 4 examples will EVER pay you off with millions of dollars.
So, who's stupid??
In summation, how you choose to spend your entertainment dollars is ALL good.
