what I meant to say was back them a lot things slid by compared to how they are not allowed nowadays.

Rte66 posted this morning that she didn't die but that the parents divorced and that was why John went to live with his grandparents. There was a source cited. I have been asking for awhile now, what did she die from, because the word at first was that she died when he was 12. Your source says she died when John was in second grade, way before age 12, and mentions no divorce...or does it. This is quite confusing...
