Okay, let's get the known facts set down, point by point....
Karr claims that he was at the Ramsey's Christmas party, ON CHRISTMAS DAY of 1996, with one of his brothers and just stayed in the house, after it was over.
The party was on DECEMBER 23, 1996. His brother didn't work for Mr. Ramsey, wasn't at the party, and Karr wasn't in Colorado on December 23, 1996.
Karr's family claims that he never missed a Christmas with them. Yes, they might be lying.
Karr claims that he picked Jonbenet up from school.
There was NO school ( Christmas vacation! ) and he never picked her up.
The $118,000 is AFTER TAX money and no, that wouldn't have been public knowledge. That was said ten years ago and it's being said now.
Though the net was around ten years ago, there was a whole LOT less on it, back then, than there today. Even IF Karr was obsessed with Jonbenet, which I doubt, before she was murdered, there really was NOT a lot that he could have found out about her and her family back then.
The DNA has been corrupted.
Lots of people confess to high profile cases, though they didn't commit the crime. I don't know why they do, but they do. This is just another one such.
Here's one way to get him out of this, lol:

Karr family believes he's lying
By DenverPost.com
A spokesman for members of John Mark Karr's family believes he will be exonerated in the death of JonBenet Ramsey.
In an interview with MSNBC today, Gary Harris said the family knows he has mental problems, but don't think he's guilty.
"He's not as he's been portrayed," Harris said. "He's no creature of the dark. There's a lot of good inside of him. He would not kill a child."
Harris said family members thought Karr was dead, after not hearing from him since 2001, when he was arrested for child pornography.
"He has had mental problems. He's a disturbed person, but not a killer I'm convinced he'll be completely exonerated."
Harris said Karr's relatives don't believe the ransom note involved in JonBenet's death was written by him.
He speculated as to why Karr would tell reporters that he was present when the 6-year-old died in Boulder in 1996, and why he said her death had been accidental.
"John Karr is a bragger. He wants fame and notoriety... and often hallucinates and likes to lie."

the claims made about picking JB up from school plus a few other details were misinterpreted by the Thai officials and have been rebuked.....that was in the news probably two days ago...
