Paging Geraldo Rivera!
Geraldo should arrange a show using ground penetrating radar....
I've never heard of this group, but from reading this article, I know that they're a pack of nutters. There is no way, NO WAY that Queen Elizabeth I could have had a bastard son and kept it quite; NONE.
Look at the bright side.
If they weren't so wrapped up in this harmless fairy tale, they'd be doing research for the 9/11 Scholars for Truth.
ROTFLMSO......you're right; there IS a silver lining. :-)
I know Fletcher Richman personallyand can tell everyone that he is truly full of it. He is part of the IAM groups a new age cult. He and his group are pretty far out and they tried to get me to join. But after researching him and the IAM groups it was obvious that these people are so misled by their beliefs and are so far gone in believing that assended beings speak to them and guide their path there was no way I would take part in their dillusion. They tried to go through me to get to a partner of mine making some pretty big promises that were nothing but lies. Researching the Bacon drama myself there is no basis in any facts that Bacon buried 144 vaults of sacred knowledge. They claim that many of the vaults were placed all throughout the Southwest which is total nonsense. Louis and Clark had not even begun their quest and the Southwest was only inhabitad by Indians. Don’t believe everything you hear folks due your own research. The truth is out there but Fletcher will never find it.
Advocates of our version of "The DaVinci Code" were back in town Friday, calling for another excavation to locate the "secret vault" of Sir Francis Bacon, which they still allege is buried beneath the churchyard of Bruton Parish Episcopal Church... The Bacon story relies on a conspiracy theory of history in which sinister forces have conspired to conceal a great historical and mystical truth from the world... "It could stop the push for the Mideast War, for Armageddon," said Fletcher Richman, the group's spokesman, as he stood outside the church. He added that it could bring all the world's religions together.Unfortunately, the Moslems will be wearing explosive vests.
In the theory of the Bacon enthusiasts, it is the original King James translation of the Bible, original versions of William Shakespeare's plays (which they believe Bacon and a circle of associates actually wrote) and "Christian Hermetic-Cabalistic mystery teachings." ...The Baconists believe that Bacon was the illegitimate son of Queen Elizabeth I of England and thus the rightful heir to the English throne. They also believe he faked his death in 1626 and actually died in 1684, at the age of 123. The followers claim that Nathaniel Bacon the Elder, whom they believe was a relative of Sir Francis Bacon, supervised the transfer to Williamsburg. Colonial Williamsburg's research department said Friday they are unaware of any relationship between the two Bacons.Oh, and they also hold that George Rockwell and Norman Rockwell were brothers.
The supposed Bruton Parish vault is one of a number of such hidden caches of knowledge, 144 to be exact, that the Baconists believe in. An article in their press packet describes their search for another alleged vault on the grounds of the state capitol in St. Paul, Minn., where Richman lives.Wow, it's all starting to make sense now.
Richman goes so far as to accuse the Skull & Bones Society and the Rockefellers of arranging the murder of his mentor Manley Palmer Hall, who died in 1990. And he accused David Rockefeller, among others, of conspiring to ruin the 1992 excavation of the churchyard, which found nothing... archaeologists who performed the excavation used the Baconists' own calculations to look for the vault. A year before that, Baconist Marsha Middleton dug for eight hours in the churchyard. For her trouble, she got a warning from police about trespassing. Despite accusing the Rockefellers of murder, Richman and the Baconists hope to gain the cooperation of the Rockefeller Foundation, Colonial Williamsburg and the church in sponsoring a new excavation by experts.Governor Rockefeller roughed up some inmates at Attica that one time.
The group's renewed interest in the church is the latest chapter in saga that began in 1938. In that year, Marie Bauer Hall, supposedly following clues she'd discovered on the tombstones and in the writings of Shakespeare and Bacon, dug in the churchyard without authorization. She didn't find any vault, but did unearth the foundation of the original 1683 church. In 1985-87, ceramic engineer John Malweski, working for the Veritat Foundation, which was headed by Hall, conducted surface tests which supposedly proved that something is buried 20 feet below the original church foundation. In August 1992 the parish investigated the claim using rods to locate the vault. Nothing was found. That, as far as Bruton Parish is concerned, should be the end of it.Malweski and the Veritat Foundation are part of the conspiracy to withhold the truth!!! ;')

Wow, this is good and nutty. NickC, I'm also pinging you because of the Shakespeare-was-Bacon angle. My view is that there was also a side of eggs. |

I’m surprised some English group hasn’t started a campaign to bring home the Bacon.
Wasn’t he the one whose headstone reads “Cursed be ye who move my bones”?
That was Shakespeare. :’) Shakespeare was described as “sweet swan of Avon” by his younger contemporary, Ben Jonson. Of course, that was part of Bacon’s plot to cover his own identity, because Bacon also wrote under the name “Ben Jonson”. ;’)

"You are probably familiar with the phrase "bring home the bacon." In the twelfth century, a church in the English town of Dunmow promised a side of bacon to any married man who could swear before the congregation and God that he had not quarreled with his wife for a year and a day."
"A husband who could bring home the bacon was held in high esteem by the community for his forebearance."

I'm skeptical to say the least.
They found the secret Bacon vault in 1992.
Inside was a chest containing a diary with a list of Sir Walter Raleigh's girlfriends and four tickets to the Loch Ness Monster rollercoaster at Busch Gardens where the message is symbolically encoded: '08. The carnival starts then. Fasten your seat belts...
