I'd start with Necroscope and then go down the line of Necroscope II, III, IV, V, and finish the series. The story continues. I have to read The Touch put out this year.
You have to know what you are doing with these books because the characters' names change as they change and the plot is so intricate. You know how when you pour something thick into a bowl it folds back and forth over itself. That is how these plots are and sometimes you have to remember how things began and developed through several folds. Once in a great while in life you find something that fits you perfect and his books fit me. However, good luck finding anyone else who has read them to have a discussion with. A lot of people just glance at the covers and assume it is stupid gory reading. It involves wamphyri but these are not your mother's vampires, they are way different.
By looking at his photograph you'd never think he had it in him!
