John Mark Karr as much killed JonBenet Ramsey as Mickey Mouse did.

Mr. Johnson may be onto something. The more Karr talks, the less credible he gets.

The same day this hit the media, Drudge had an article quoting the ex-wife as saying he was in Alabama on the day of the murder.

Unfortunately, there's a whole class of people who out of delusion or desire for notoriety, "confess" to famous crimes.

There were at least three spurious confessions to the Sacco-Vanzetti murders. Of course, at least one of those was probably elicited by a bribe from the defense team . . . so that's not exactly the same situation.

I think there's a good chance this guy is just a loon who is obsessed with the Ramsey murder and has somehow convinced himself that he did it.

The "undisclosed details" thing here won't wash. Too many people were blabbing all sorts of stuff during the initial investigation. I'm sure there were plenty of leaks that never gained any public notice.

That's murder, not murders. Only one man was killed, a payroll guard for a shoe company in Dedham MA.

That was, in its day, the same sort of wildly notorious crime, only the fascination was with anarchists instead of the kiddie beauty pageant scene.

He is smart.Getting a free pass out of a Thai jail, free ticket to America, and I don't believe he did it.When the people who are supposed to be in the know say,he had info only the killer would know, makes me wonder right there. We all know the police cant keep quiet.Look at Mel.It was out to the "news" before he was out on bond.Just being facetious, but someone or somethings are being played. No matter what,he is a scumbag of the first order.

If this is true, this is going to make a lot of people on another forum very upset.

Yes John Mark Karr is wack and yes he is delusional. I’m trying not to rush to judgment here or jumping to conclusions because I’d rather think this known pedophile did it rather than the parents, but he could still be guilty and still be delusional.

It is possible that after ten years, he’s reinvented his memory of the events whether he actually did it or not; his fantasizing about picking her up from school and it being an accident has now become his reality.

And the ex? Well she’d have no reason to come to his defense except she was a child herself when he married her and she bore his children as a child herself. What if she was drawn into his pedophilia either as a willing partner or an observer to other crimes?

She and his first child bride describe him as controlling and manipulative.

And then there’s more confusing and possibly contradictory evidence in the ransom note and a yearbook entry Karr made years earlier.

“The yearbook entry ends with Karr writing in capital block letters, "Though, deep in the future, maybe I shall be the conquerer and live in multiple peace."

“A ransom note found in the Ramsey home ended with the word "Victory!" and was signed "S.B.T.C." Authorities want to know whether those letters might stand for "shall be the conquerer" and whether they could have been written by the same person”.

I'm not even waiting for the DNA tests to come back. I know the guy didn't do it.

I'm not sure how some law enforcement groups may act in all cases, but:

These folks out in Colorado, knowing this guy is a real threat to children and that he has done bad things to them already, if the DNA DOES NOT match, I wouldn't put it past them to say that it did match.

We would never know.

"How do I know? Her name is Lara Knutson, the divorced wife of John Mark Karr and the mother of his children. On Friday, she publicly said the guy was with her and the kids in Alabama on Christmas Day 1996, that they hardly had anything, much less money for a trip to Colorado. Now, ex-wives will say and do a lot of things, but trust me, the last thing they'd ever do is risk jail time to provide your sorry backside with a phony alibi."

Bingo

"What's more, the coroner finds not a trace of either semen on or drugs in the girl. "

I thought they did find DNA in her pants.

If ever there was an open and shut case, it would seem this would be it. If this wacko's ex-wife can prove they were in Georgia (or wherever they lived) on the Christmas Eve Jon Benet was killed on, the case is over.

Has anyone thought to ask her for such proof or, as is usually the case, am I the only one who thinks of these things?
