What jackass left a loaded and unlocked gun for this kid to play with?
Of course...maybe removing him from the gene pool will be better for the human race overall.
I have three "loaded and unlocked" guns in my house. I also have an 11 year old and a 6 year old. They BOTH know that they don't touch my guns unless I have them at the range and have given permission for them to fire them!
For years I didn't even allow bullets in the house. Then I allowed bullets, but the guns had to be kept locked.
Right now my husband is in Iraq and we've been having some home invasion issues in our neighborhood. I spent several sleepless nights going over, in my head, what it would involve for me to get to my gun, unlock it, load it, and fire. It was not a good feeling knowing that it would take me a full minute if I were prepared. Trying to do it while snapping out of a dead sleep seemed impossible.
Now I have a loaded, unlocked .38 in my bedroom and both my kids know it.
