Message to AmericanDragon ... FYI - you are in the USA not a Chinese Gulag. You have the RIGHT to deploy your resources anyway you wish to - don't like Dells Indian support - go and buy an iMac they recently shut down their support in India. Its that simply pal, the market rules and price is everything. Sufficient people do that, the jobs will start coming back.

Unfortunately the very jerks in this thread who bitch an moan about Indian outsourcing etc are perfectly happy (when its THEIR money) going out and buying their Dells, Toyotas and Sonys without giving a thought as where these items originate. But oooohhhhh no, should a Corporation chose to deploy its resources the best (i.e. in India) then its tantamount to treason.

US have proved that the most successful economic system in the history of this planet is American free market capitalism. As with any system there are winners and losers (AmericanDragon). That doesn't in itself though mean that the system is wrong.

AmericanDragon appears to be on an extended vacation from FR, he won't get your message.

On the topic of outsourcing - it turns out that for some things, it doesn't pay to outsource, that the costs of overcoming cultural and language barriers exceed the money saved by paying lower wages, which is why Apple and a number of other companies pulled out of operations in India. The popular myth is that outsourcing can save a lot of money, but a lot of companies found out that it was not true for them.
