I'm so impressed with their security:

"Davis, whose crime is largely responsible for California's three strikes law, overdosed on opiates, according to prison spokesman Vernell Crittendon. It was not clear Monday whether it was a suicide attempt or an accidental overdose. "

"The drugs are believed to have been obtained from an outside source, probably during visiting hours, Crittendon said. Prisoners, he said, "are still allowed to visit with their loved ones." "

WHY? Why should he be allowed visitors?

"Doctors revived Davis, who Crittendon said was back in his prison cell Monday "doing fine." "

Why bother? He's sentence to DEATH. Let him die. Hell will be a lot worse than any prison on this earth.

"Davis has been housed since he was first brought to San Quentin in what is called the Adjustment Center, a high security cell block where the supposed "worst of the worst" are held under heavy guard and in isolation. "

Heavy guard? Isolation? LOL!!!

"The fact that he molested and killed a child has made him a target inside the prison, where the unwritten moral code mandates a violent death for such offenders. He has been assaulted and spat upon by other inmates at least three times and is well aware that any prisoner who gets a chance will try to kill him, prison officials have said. "

Good! Throw him in general population for an afternoon and let them have a shot at him and end this taxpayer supported charade to protect a MONSTER.

This never did make a bit a sense to me. Sometimes spend big bucks to make a prisoner healthy and then kill him. No body parts either.
