I agree. What many are unaware of is the fact that beauty contests for little girls are not unusual in many parts of the South, and it is not only a Southern thing. Who can fault a mother for thinking her daughter is beautiful? I am not any mother's judge. I know it is not cheap. I worked with a nice man, whose wife took her daughter to these contests almost every week. He loved his wife and his kids. He was a darn good man,too.

but this isn't the 20th century....its 2006 and the South has evolved....

a beauty contest is one thing....not a thing I believe is very good..but dressing your little, little girl up like a stage queen is quite another.....

Jon Benet was a pretty little girl WITHOUT her makeup and getup but with it all, she looks horrible...
