Last night, CNN I think, was interviewing an ex-cop who said she had been strangled, then hit on the head, and strangled with the garrot. He also said the strangling didn't leave bruises so it was done very slowly and deliberately. With her skull cracked, who knows if she was still alive by that time.

What's so sad, is that there are what appears to be finger nail indentations, like she was clawing at the rope on her neck. That's just horrific! The fracture on her skull had almost no swelling and bruising. The determination was that it occurred very close to the time of death. She did not lay bleeding with a skull injury, her heart had already stopped.
