I think many of you are on the right track about the note. It was never meant to truly be a ransom note and is more of a cryptic note left for the father (as in getting his digs in towards the father and the writer is letting Ramsey know that he thinks he is above and smarter than Ramsey.)

So he knows about the 118K bonus, why not throw it in for good measure and hope that cops look towards the parents. (which is what they did and mainly they did this because of the 118K bonus being mentioned in the note)

If Karr is the one then how did he know so much about Ramsey? - Something tells me that Karr is part of this, he may be the killer but might also be someone that has crossed paths with the killer through his pedophile hobby.

2 very sick and demented people hooking up with each other is a great possibility in pedophile world. If Karr's DNA comes up negative I still think the LE has some info from Karr that was not released to the public and they want to know how Karr knows this info.

That is a possibility.
I hope the DA has more evidence then what we are hearing though because so far it looks pretty weak. I would be surprised if they don't have more. They've been investigating this guy for months. They might just be remaining very tight lipped about it, which would be smart. If this is all they have, I think they're in for an embarrassment.

Actually you just put forth a very plausible scenario, and a scenario in which Karr would have a huge vested interest.

Remember, Karr has already been convicted in absentia in California on Multiple charges of Possession of Child Pornography.

So.lets say Karr, who is fascinated with the Klass and Ramsey cases, and who has tried to converse with Richard Davis, gets his second big scoop -- he runs into the actual killer of Jonbenet Ramsey. The killer shares his story with Karr, thereby giving Karr the inside information that the sources are saying he has given.

Now, Karr parlays this information into an arrest and return to the states by posing as the killer. Now that he is here he recants -- BUT says the information I gave you is just a "taste", I can lead you straight to the real killer, and all you have to do is make that little mess in California "go away".
