With the conflicted statements by his second child bride now divorced) that he was in Alabama on Christmas the time the girl died, the only way he could know specifics of the crime which had never been revealed, is that he spoke to the real killer and those details were conveyed to him.

How about this scenario.

A child molester with an obsessive personality becomes aware of JonBenet through the pageant circuit since he frequents those because he likes little girls. He begins to indulge this obsession through various means including covert surveillance of the house. One night, the Ramsey's are out of town, so he feels like taking a bit more risk and begins poking around at 2 am. After trying several windows, and leaving evidence of this, he comes across a grate covering a basement window. He lifts the grate, and being a slender guy easily fits into the small space in front of the window. To his delight, he discovers the latch is broken, so he lifts the window and scoots inside. Now he finds himself in a small, obscure room. He ventures out and begins to explore the house. Since no one is home, he takes his time and becomes quite familiar. After awhile he leaves. It was an exhilarating experience for him, so he can't wait to do it again. Sometime later, the family returns from their vacation. It's 1 am and they are asleep. The perp again sneaks to the house, but this time he doesn't have to search for a way in. He quickly makes his way to that little obscure room. In the dark of the night, he sneaks about the house, possibly even spying on JonBenet while she sleeps. He makes his way back to the room ands stays there for awhile. It's quite secure and he feels very safe and comfortable. He repeats this exhilarating experience several times, but now it is becoming boring. He needs, and wishes to be closer to his obsession. So, he devises a plot to kidnap her. On the night of his plan he sneaks in early, and finds a notepad and pen. As he sits in the little safe hideout waiting for the family to return and go to sleep. While waiting he authors a strange ransom note. Maybe this will give him the opportunity to escape with his obsession. The note becomes more bizarre as the time as nearing and his anticipation is building. After everyone is asleep he proceeds to carry out his plan. He sneaks upstairs and scatters the ransom note, then goes into JonBenet's room and subdues her. He caries her to the little basement room that has become his secret hideout. He wants her to feel safe so he tries to reassure her that everything is fine, perhaps by feeding her pineapple. But, he can't control himself and his effort to console her lead him to indulge on his sick perverted fantasies, ultimately leading to the her death. He views this as an accident since it is a result of his uncontrollable urges and not what he had initially intended. Now he's in a panic, but also remorseful. He covers her, draws a heart on her palm and escapes through the window. Since he never returns to Boulder, he doesn't proceed to add anything to the file that was opened for him to begin to pursue work. Yes, this is complete speculation, and DNA may exonerate this guy. But, the above scenario is not a far fetched one if you're dealing with a crazed, obsessive, pedophile. Karr has shown to be that much. He's a planner. Everything he plans has to do with his pedophilia. This is most likely why he's made five trips to Thailand within two years, why he chose teaching as an occupation, why he worked as a private tutor in America and foreign countries. Day in and Day out this guy seems to operate with the purpose of indulging his perversion. It's not unbelievable to think that the above scenario could have been carried out by him, or someone like him.

A quick Google of John Mark Karr Lee harvey Oswald produces this piece of work:

http://worldsanoddplace.blogspot.com/

Real Google queries that have brought people here:
john karr + oswald, lee harvey oswald looks like john mark karr (and vice-versa): Variations on this theme were fairly popular, I think based in part on the whole middle name thing.

john wayne gacy lee harvey oswald mark david chapman middle names: See? That, and you've got two-thirds of this guy's name in your query when you search for John Wayne Gacy and Mark David Chapman anyway. Plus, the two do bear a wee bit of a similarity to one another, and I could see where people would lump them together in a mental category of "People Associated With High-Profile Crimes." Of course, nobody went quite as far as the one guy who searched for, and I'm not making this up: "Lee Harvey Oswald" "John Mark Karr" clone. Yeah, the government cloned Oswald to whack a six-year-old girl. By the way, I'm the sole hit for that one. Don't know what that says about me.

mark karr korea: I have no idea. More than one person Googled this, though, so maybe I'm just not paying attention to some crazy John Karr/Kim Jong Il connection. Wouldn't be the first time a conspiracy has flown straight over my unassuming head. Maybe Hwang Woo-Suk cloned Karr from Lee Harvey Oswald's remains. To whack a six-year-old girl.

john mark karr theory: My theory is that he's a crazy guy confessing to a crime he probably didn't commit. Why? Because he is crazy.

That window was covered with cobwebs and they were undisturbed....the Ramsey's may have forgotten to lock a door on their way out...

Possible link found between Karr, yearbook and Ramsey ransom note

HAMILTON, Ala. - Boulder District attorney's officials are in contact with a former classmate of John Mark Karr because she has a yearbook signed by him more than 20 years ago that may reveal the answer to one of the great mysteries of the JonBenet Ramsey ransom note - what does "S.B.T.C" stand for?

In the yearbook, Karr signed the classmate’s page and ended his missive with the line, "Though, deep in the future, maybe I shall be the conqueror and live in multiple peace." The words "shall be the conqueror" do not appear anywhere as an acronym, but they are written in upper case characters.

The two and a half-page ransom note was left with the Ramseys the day JonBenet was killed. The note ended, "Victory! S.B.T.C."

Through an email and phone conversations, Boulder investigators have been in touch with the classmate for the past couple of days on the matter.

"There are a lot of holes in his story."

The reason that I cut the phrase "... while the family was there" is that it is irrelevant. The Ramseys were gone four hours and then came home a$$-faced drunk from a party, as I recall. Plenty of time and opportunity to commit a crime in the basement. Waiting for DNA results, as are others ...

Regarding Spider Web: Someone on Fox today said the scientist said the kind of spider that made that web is dormant in the winter, so that if it was a broken web, the spider did not remake it within a few days.

Also: Did you all see this ? Karr's signature in a Yearbook are the same as the initials in the Ramsey ramson Letter. S. B. T. C.

The Rocky Mountain News is reporting that the DA in Boulder has been in contact with someone who went to school and has a yearbook that Karr signed: "Though, deep in the future, maybe I shall be the conqueror and live in multiple peace." (S.B.T.C. SHALL BE THE CONQUEROR !!!!!

CREEPY HUH ? Karen

I saw it on foxnews.
The handwriting looked like the ransom note.
the f's look a lot like the f's in the ransom note.
he also changes from printing sometimes to cursive just like in the ransom note.

the words i shall be the conqueror are written in capital letters

I Shall Be The Conqueror

the ransom note said
Victory!
S.B.T.C.

Yes, he looks and speaks weird as hell. I would not let any kid near him. But, acting strange only raises suspicion. It does not convict anyone.

See, that is what I think mostly happend, but it was likely not Karr who did this crime. But who knows!

Ping to post #183.

This is just a make believe scenario, but it is a plausible one. It also answers questions in a likely way, other than, "it must have been a family member."

Sorry it's a big blob. It had paragraphs when I typed it. I have no idea why it didn't print that way.

Yes and Yes....the yearbook thing is creepy...I hope for the Ramsey's sake that this is the guy....but they need him in Boulder in 96 and the DNA to match.

Some elements of your scenario are plausible, some are not. The elements having to do with the killer possibly stalking JonBenet are plausible. However, breaking into the same house multiple times without ever tripping the alarm, or being seen by neighbors or even patrolling cops, or leaving any sign of having been there, and without leaving fingerprints, is implausible.
