Lima, Peru (AHN) - A man died of poisoning this week after drinking a miracle herb potion to ward off his family's bad luck. The Peruvian government has since warned that not every person who calls himself a medicine man or shaman is trustworthy.
The government cautioned its citizens to steer clear of secretive or street-corner practices, warning that they may be given potions that could make them sick or even kill them.
The country's Health Ministry said in a statement, "Avoid consuming brews made with herbs of questionable origin or hallucinogenic plants prepared by so-called Shamans."
Many newspapers in Peru are filled with ads placed by self-proclaimed shamans who say they are able to improve people's luck. Use of alternative medicine is widespread in the country, and some turn to shamans or medicine men because they believe they have the ability to ease their troubles.

Sounds like his estate has a solid basis for a fraud claim.

Coming soon - Look for a Democrat near you to propose legislation that would require employer-provided health plans to fully reimburse shaman fees...

A man died of poisoning this week after drinking a miracle herb potion to ward off his family's bad luck. Maybe he was a real jackass.
In that case it worked.

The Peruvian government has since warned that not every person who calls himself a medicine man or shaman is trustworthy.
And I thought some of the warnings on products in America were dumb.

A man died of poisoning this week after drinking a miracle herb potion to ward off his family's bad luck.Poor sap! If he had only waited a little longer -- I understand one of the major pharmeceutical companies is about to begin marketing a pill that will do the same thing, and all he would have had to put up with are the possible side effects of drowziness, nausea, diarrhea or constipation, sexual dysfunction, headaches, blurred vision and, in some rare cases, convulsions and rapid drop in white cell count.

Can we get some of that to sell to the democrats? Their luck's been awful shabby lately.
