Yes! That and the whole SBTC--Victory! thing just jumped out at me. I could never understand the Victory at the end of the ransom note. But if you couple it with (I) Shall Be The Conqueror, it is very eerie.

I'm also intrigued by the SBTC reference in both the yearbook and the ransom note. The FBI has seemingly never been able to ascertain what it stood for, and now those four letters show up with some apparent connection to this suspect.
BTW, I've had very serious doubts re: Karr and his connection to the murder given his weirdness and the Alabama alibi but this "SBTC" connection gives some pause deserves further explanation.
