No. He has been obsessed with the murder and had been even talking with someone close to the case supposedly to write a book, so he knows a lot of details made public and probably some not so public. When this first hit the news last night, I pegged him as a wacko. The DA should have done a DNA test before calling in the cameras. We'll see soon enough.
My theory assumes that the DA is competent. If this DA has been hoodwinked by some whackjob looking for a ticket out of a Thai prison, then this case will never see a conviction. I would like to think that this guy had enough pertinent information to get a serious look. If not, we're just dealing with a new set of Keystone cops.
