They both coach D with a similar philosophy given their time spent working together. The way coaches study film today there's not much that they don't know about other teams. Hell, a lot of times it comes down to who makes/stuffs a play.
maybe...
We will know more once he works out of the Pats.
I'm still thinking that he doesn't have much left in the tank.
All,
It might not mean anything, but on the ESPN bottomline, it was just scrolled that Seau is expected to sign on Friday. It made no mention of a workout.
This came from the San Diego Union Tribune.
At his age I would say fumes. But, 15-20 plays a game are possible and with the game's injury rate I look at him as insurance and not to mention a good guy to have around the locker room.
yeah there is that.
They actually have a lot of holes right now. Bruschi, Brown and Biesel are all injured. Just saw that from an ESPN story.
I've never heard former Charger, Rodney Harrison, complain about the weather there...
He was cleared to play by outside doctors, not team doctors. Thus, the team has likely forced him to waive any possible liablity what so ever should something tragic happen.
the doctors who cleared him said he had normal brain function. I would find it unlikely that these doctors would state that this couldn't happen again. So clearing him is a long way from even implying that the risk is no greater whether he plays football or retires.
I'd wager they all told him he had increased risk no matter what endeavor he pursued based on it having had happened before.
Yeah, I was joking. Belichick and Saban are already intimately familiar with each other anyway.
So much for retirement.
Bet Chargers fans are feeling some deja vu.
Every player has a chance of football endangering their health.
He's not starter material anymore IMHO. But if he's good for 20-30 snaps per game he will give the Pats tremendous depth at LB.
I know it was only pre season but they did kick their butts up and down the field.
