Just heard on the NFL network's Total Access show that Junior Seau may not retire after all. He is flying to New England tonight and if things go well he will sign with the Patriots by the end of this week.
Just heard an update on the same show from Adam Schefter. Sounds like all but a done deal.
From my perspective hopefully interesting in the good column.

You bet. One great thing about autumn/winter-football!
This is why I don't mind summer ending.

LOL! I know, I know. My husband recently bought me a signed Bruschi photo. What a thrill.
WHAT YOU SAY!
Cool. If they do sign Seau he'll be taking his cues from Teddy.
A 37 year old linebacker is going to be New Englands savior on Defense? Count me highly skeptical. I'd list his over/under of games played at 3. Yes, he'd likely beat this if NE signs him, I just don't believe they will.
As to Bruschi, I'm very concerned that he has been cleared medically to play. He looks like a stroke victim and I fear another season may turn whats left of this brain into mush. Wish he'd do his family a favor and retire.
I don't know what plans Belichick has for him. In Bill we trust.
If there was any chance that playing football would further endanger his health he would not be out there.
It's definetly a surprise.

Agreed. I also doubt that there is a Bruschi fan out there that wouldn't rather he retire than risk further injury.
Seau is over ... he just can't accept. Years of adulation as a premier player in the NFL has to come to an end sometime ... he should hang it up and walk away with his reputation intact. Prolonging the inevitable will only diminish his stature ... time for Junior Seau to move on to the next stage of his life.
If this were true of football players, none of them would have taken steriods.
Alright, I'm getting more inclined to believe this. Looks like Belichick wants Saban's playbook.
Good thing we've got new coordinators this year.
I repeat he would not be playing if the doctors told him by doing so he'd be risking the chance of another stroke.
Salary cap relief would be my guess.
Chad Brown is an example of sticking aroung too long. Seau could make an impact for the Pats as a role player though. He's smart and you have to be in order to play the Pats scheme.
The Pats need some depth and they would rather go with a veteran.
