BANGKOK, Thailand - The American suspect in the killing of JonBenet Ramsey told investigators that he drugged and had sex with the 6-year-old beauty queen before accidentally killing her, a senior Thai police officer said Thursday.
An autopsy on Ramsey said a blood screening showed no drugs or alcohol in her body but said she had vaginal abrasions.
Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of Thailand's immigration police, said by telephone that he was not present for the questioning, which was conducted by U.S. law enforcement officials.
But, according to what the general said he was told of the questioning, the suspect, John Mark Karr, "said he drugged the child." Suwat did not say who briefed him on the questioning.
Karr claimed he had sex with Ramsey, who was still alive, Suwat said. Karr said he then realized he had "accidentally" killed her, according to the general.
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy said it had no information about Karr's alleged actions or what he said to questioners. U.S. and Colorado law enforcement officials were unavailable for comment.
I don't know about the plane tickets (perhaps travelling with adult male who was paying him for "favors"). But living there is dirt cheap. He was paying $170/month at the hotel he was living at. And could have been doing odd jobs on the side like teaching English (which was among the claims on his resume).
No, his teacher's cert was pulled in CALIFORNIA in 2002 (or 2001). There is so far no evidence that he ever lived or worked in Colorado.
I've always thought Nicolas Cage looked like some sick rat bastard. I hate it when he plays the good guy in a movie, because I keep wanting to see him get killed off. He should stick to playing the bad guy with those rat like beady eyes of his.

Last night "the four experts" on Fox said she died of strangulation. The head injury occured when she was dying or near death. Very little blood.
Read earlier she was 16 when they got married.....a child bride. Olders son is about 15 and named after his father....poor kid.

IIRC the Ramsey kept their home in GA. Maybe some of the pageants were there. Good excuse to go visit family.

How early to they start these child pageants? Four? Five? I think 4 or 5 is freaky enough but maybe they go down to 2 or 3. You're right that they could have brought her to Georgia for a pageant and he saw her there but it still doesn't explain putting him in Colorado at Christmastime.
There could be a lot of pieces here that eventually all add up but I'm far from satisfied with the explanation at this point. Way too many critical loose ends.

He also said he picked her up at school that day. It was Christmas vacation, she wasn't in school.
