Yup, it took a lot if international cooperation to actually get the guy which is why she was thanking so many people not from this country. Knowing the rough geographical area where he is doesn't mean jack, especially when it's in a foreign country. You have to work with foreign police and investigators to track down exactly where the guy is and to apprehend him. That's not an easy task. Contrary to initial reports, he wasn't just sitting in some cell waiting to be captured.
