I don't know how the phrase "robot" got mixed in with these machines, but it gives me the creeps. "Robot" sounds like it's autonomous, like the doc gets out his booklet, and reads "... press '5' for prostate, press '6' for gallbladder...' and he punches in a '5', then heads out for lunch. "Remote control" I could handle, but "Robot" just sounds wrong.

If you saw what it looks like you would definitely call it a robot. the surgeon controls the arms of the robot.
