There was some strange DNA found on the underpants that the child was wearing, not semen, as if someone had sneezed on them.
you are correct, there was unknown DNA at the crime seen!!
As the dust settled, I believe they might be referring to his emails. Not an actual confession?

We don't mind speculation!
Definition.....
calumny is a mortal sin when it is calculated to do serious harm to the person so traduced. Just as in the instance of wrongful damage to person or estate, so the calumniator is bound to adequate reparation for the injury perpetrated by the blackening of another's good name.
Yeah, r i g h t.............................!!!
Poor Ramseys. So many people thought they were involved.
I was listening on the radio and thought I had heard it incorrectly.....Never would I have thought they'd arrest her murderer in "THAILAND"!
Thailand?
(that is destined to become a clasic)
He and Shep Smith are probably down in New Orleans auditioning local Bush haters for their upcoming "Katrina - One Year Later" bash-a-thon.
She'll cry. This is why I never watch these legal shows now. They are so annoying.

I read an article, recently that said that the DNA was on Jon Benet's underpants, which were brand new, that it was not semen and that it could have been from someone sneezing in the factory where the pants were made. Interestingly, I think that the pants were made in Thailand.
Not sure why something you write in an email is any different from any other type of confession?
By coincidence, I was re-reading "JonBenet" by Steve Thomas and Don Davis when this news broke. Steve Thomas was one of the lead Boulder detectives on the case, and spent a year and a half of his life doing nothing else but working the case. His chronicle of the Ramseys, the Boulder DA's office, and the events that took place, from his perspective as an experienced street cop and detective, paint the most infuriating picture of a crime investigation that I've ever read. The frustration made Thomas give up police work after beating his head against the wall for almost two years.
The Ramseys' actions couldn't have been more suspicious if a Hollywood script writer had plotted the whole thing out for them. They did virtually nothing that normal crime victims do, and did virtually everything that the guilty do to evade and cover up. The DA's office was in bed with the Ramseys' defense team (which was formed within a few hours of discovery of the body), and thwarted virtually every attempt by the street cops to properly investigate the case. The cops faced nothing but evasion and lies, and more evasion and lies.
This is the single most infuriating book I've ever read, and the actions of the Ramseys and the DA left me utterly convinced that Patsy Ramsey did the deed and that John Ramsey immediately began an extremely evasive defense operation while the first responders were still on the scene.
I'm amazed at the current turn of events, and hope the DNA and confession stories are true. I hope to see the honest street cops vindicated, after everyone above them thwarted their best efforts for years. What the Ramseys faced in the way of public persecution was almost entirely of their own creation by being very slippery and evasive.
They do arrest pedophiles in Thailand. Uhmnnn. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingnews/read.php?newsid=30011148
What do you say about John Ramsey implicating a former business partner as his daughter's murderer.
Think there might a chance that his book is just a tad self-serving? I've actually seen investigations in this case (paid for and televised by Court TV) that suggest that lots of people, including the DA and PD ignored a lot of evidence.
I'll ask the most obvious question.
Does the DNA match Patsy Ramsey?
