I am wondering if somehow, the passing of Mom reunited her with her child and also has allowed her to maybe push this one over the top and finally get resolution.

I'll go on record that this guy if he is the killer probably had a history of some sort and should have been in jail long ago....just guessing of course, but it does seem these guys are free for much too long...
