No gelatin tests, but lots of info. on the round here. What is the velocity of an air-pellet?

On a pistol, in the range of 500 fps. A high-powered break-barrel or pre-charged pneumatic rifle can get you in the 1000-1200 fps range for .177 or .20 caliber light weight pellet. My Beeman Kodiak will do about 680 fps w/ a 30 grain .25 pellet.

And if you want a real air gun, there are companies like Quackenbush that sell PCP's that can send a 300+ grain .308 or larger cast bullet at 700 fps or so. I want one for back yard deer hunting, but he's sold out right now...
