AFAIK it's still scheduled for Spring, 2007. Exceptional Case Status doesn't change the date of the trial, it changes the manner in which the case management by the court is done.

Interesting that Mr. Nifong has told us for quite some time that the trial would not take place until Spring 2007...

I think the exceptional status takes the scheduling out of Nifongs hands and puts it in the hands of the judge handling the case. [That is makes the schedule like the rest fo the US.] It would still be listed at Spring 2007 now because the exceptional status has not be determined and Ormond Smith has not been appointed to take over yet.
