I was under the impression that Jiffy-Lube does just that...check and fill fluids...no repairs, diagnostics, etc...

My wife's cousin is an assistant manager there, and I heard that it was strictly forbidden to do anything but a, well...jiffy lube...

Ahh...but there's the air filter, windshield wipers, etc. There's money to be made in those after-job add-ons.

That's especially the case here in Texas where we have vehicle inspections. I never take my truck to these places for an inspection. My wife has taken her car...once. She ended up forking over an extra +/- $50 in add-ons.
