The benefits of marriage for the depressed are particularly dramatic, All the more reason for depressed people to marry multiple times. Oh yea, and drag the kids through your unstable psychosis as well so they will grow up unstable too. It's ALL ABOUT ME ME ME and how I feel!

Marriage is about love, committment, raising children and the REALLY long haul. It's not a quick fix for feeling good about yourself after not feeling good about yourself.

'I do' in itself, is an empowering affirmation. . .so those power words and the positive commitment it speaks to, can surely make one feel empowered and therefore. . .help one feel
good.
Probably can have just opposite affect if the 'I do' is really a 'I do. . .not want to. . .'.
For sure that is disempowering and depressing. . .
