Interesting comment.
I have solved some of my most difficult (work) problems first thing in the morning while preparing for work.
The brain must be most efficient then.
The questions I think about are more fundamental:
What is the value to the U.S. of allowing muslim "students" into the U.S.?
What is the cost?
These are serious questions and I have never seen them asked, never mind answered.
Ditto for muslim "tourists".
How about this one?
What is the value of American citizenship?
If it can be so easily obtained through fraud by our darkest enemies, without fear of consequences or swift correction?
How can an oath or fealty be accepted as genuine one day and cancelled out the next by participating in anti-American demonstrations of the most virulent kind?
Is there not something very wrong when the most prized "right" of muslim "citizens" is the ability to mount the most hateful and violent attacks on the new country they have just "joined"?
Has anyone ever seen discussions along these lines?
Unless islam changes, and I don't expect for a moment that it will, the inevitable day will come when, due to government action, civil war or overwhelming popular initiative, all admissions into the country to muslims will be denied, and all overt anti-American activities will be instantly dealt with, with permanent loss of "citizenship" and permanent expulsion.
I just hope to live to see that day.
What seems to be going on is either more widespread activity or more reported activity.
In the last 2 weeks:
The Seattle shootings.
The Baltimore firebombing.
Multiple instances of huge purchases of pre-paid cell phones (which sounds like someone is collecting detonators to launch street blasts like those in Israel).
Pipe bombs found on cars in Portland (Oregon).
The UK jetliner plot.
The vanishing Egyptian "students".
So, I don't think the jetliner plot was the whole of anything. I think there is more out there, and I am not looking forward to the night of 22 August.
Anyone who isn't concerned just isn't paying attention.
