I'm retired Air Force, and even by the time I enlisted (1978), there was a rising perception in the AF that excessive drinking was a bad idea. By the time I retired, nearly all AF members knew drunkenness was a good way to end your career, even if it was confined to your off-duty hours. Among officers, in particular, it was strongly discouraged.
Of course, there's been no mention of the women serving on ships coming back from a cruise pregnant.
God Forbid that they actually address a REAL problem.
