My pleasure marmar. It seems to me that most people find a story most humorous when it's based in absolute truth. And one only has to tell it as they see it (with as much detail as seems relevant) to be considered someone that has a way with words.
I don't consider myself a wordsmith as much as I consider myself a sh*tsmith. Meaning I am someone who experiences more than his fair share of sh*t. When I tell others of what it was like to sail through this or that sh*tstorm they always laugh. I laugh too, later on. But I usually don't say it to be humorous as much as to gripe or cry for help.
Speaking of cries for help, here's a thread for which at least three people consider me famous. This particular sh*tstorm started on a Wednesday night in April of 2004. Here's two links to the thread: The first is to the beginning of the incident and the second is to a broad summary of what resulted. I consider the proposed solutions to my dilemma funnier than the dilemma itself, so I urge you to read as much of the thread as you can stomach before looking at the second link. Enjoy.
