A bear entered Sand Harbor State Park earlier this summer, causing a disturbance among the crowds of beach-goers. Last week a bear - perhaps the same one - appeared at the Shakespeare Festival.

The choices of surf and turf - and the bard - were more discriminating than the bear that settled last month for cold pizza and an even colder beer it found in a convertible near the south shore casino area.

I would get along better with the cold pizza and beer bear. I really don’t get along with uppity bears that probably lift their pinky when eating.
