Respectfully, I disagree. She needs to butt out and let him have a fair chance to live his own life now that he's a grown man, and also let Coach Callahan run his team himself. Notice what she said about "if he'd stayed in the SEC", and her remarks about Zac Taylor. So she's planting that kind of stuff in his head, or at least enabling it after someone else has, and expecting things to work out for him?

We just went thru the same thing at OU with a guy who has a crazy overbearing dad who can't stay out of the team's business. Besides, the chick has a hyphenated last name, what do you expect...

That is my impression as well. He appears to be pulling the same stunt that some pro players get by with - holding out on practice until they are practically begged to attend..... it won't endear him to those working their butts off in the heat.

The kid is 19. I'd expect a MOTHER to say things like that and I'd also expect her to want him to stay closer to home (he's from Florida if I'm thinking correctly)....
