This is my first time starting a thread so if I make a mistake please forgive me.

There arestories of people who have fled Castro's Cuba on threads around here and it may be a good idea to consolidate all these horrors onto one thread.

I originally posted this story on this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1676053/posts?page=12#12

One of my friends told me about fleeing Cuba as Castro was consolidating his power. She remembers that day very well, you see. Her, her mother, her father, her brother, and her two sisters were all literally in line to board a plane for Mexico. As they were about to board some of Castro's minions grabbed her brother out of line and told him that because he was of draft age that he was not allowed to leave the island. Her mother couldn't leave her son behind and all alone. She told her father to board with the girls and go, they would catch up later. It has now been over forty years and that is the last time she saw her mother or her brother. She has no idea what happened to them.

I encourage everyone who has a story of those who fled Cuba to post it here. We may all be of the same mind regarding the murderous thug, but it is still helpful to understand how depraved a monster Castro, and communism, truly is

My uncle was a rebel in the bay of pigs invasion, who was killed by Castro forces. Two years later, his bones were left on my aunt's door, in a garbage bag, to be discovered by my five year old cousin.

We can only hope that someday soon the mother and brother will be free from Castro's fascist regime and they will all be reunited as a family again.

You did a fine job starting this thread.

I cannot imagine being separated from my family like that. Ihope someday soon your friend will be reunited with her family.
