His comments were not something I want to be associated with. Mel Gibson was beaten in his younger days so bad that his face was hideously disfigured. He was a solitary person until a plastic surgeon operated on him and he turned his life around. If his father was a person who denied the holocaust, then his father probably disfigured his inner self as much as those who beat him disfigured his face. There are no plastic surgeons for the brain. He has always appeared obsessed to me. His movie the Passion was brilliant.
The physical disfigurement story is an urban legend. I'm afraid that he can't use that as an excuse.
