Since so many here want so much to forgive Mel Gibson for his anti-semetic tirade and beligerent behavior towards law enforcement I was trying to come up with the best punishment. I think I got it. Besides the obligatory fine, I think the Judge should sentence him to 500 hours community service at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. What do you all think his sentence should be?

....true....however....if Mel's alcoholism is more advanced and he has hid it...he may be in the stages where it does not take as much booze to be falling down drunk....soon the liver can't handle it and they get drunk on less and less
Well, some ARE stars, and some are human. Do you think he spent the time, energy and his own money, just so he could be ostracized by the non-Christian public? Do you think he needed the money made by that one film?
Check out the life of Christ, and you will see how Christians have been treated for the last 2000 years. I'm talking about us regular folks, not those that hand down their own manta and call it God's Word.
We are all tested during our lives. Mel Gibson, IMO, is going through one difficult test, right now.

I think he should become a private individual and deal with his problems.

He ran from the deputy, and they didn't charge him for that. He's getting off easy.
