Hal Lindsey--"UNCOVERED: RUSSIAN-SYRIAN-IRANIAN AXIS

For students of Bible prophecy, even the title of this communiqué should set off alarm sirens. I just received some electrifying intelligence data. First, from the Debka-Net-Weekly’s briefing. And second, from some personal intelligence sources (I carefully guard) that confirm Debka’s report....."

Fulfillment of these two prophecies may be a ways off but it is interesting to see the nations aligning in correlation to them.

Syria has been a client state of Russia for a long time. Russia owned Iran after WW II, but withdrew as they withdrew from Austria and Manchuria.

You can't lose credibility faster than those four little words "written by Hal Lindsey."

The situation is such that it could be a little bit off, or it could be today...

Seems everything is in place like it never has been before...

Must be hard for Hal to relax with all those voices in his head yelling at the same time.

"You told us the world was going to end in the eighties!"

That was the Fourth seal with the introduction of the mainstream world of the AIDS virus and now the Avian Flue with birds spreading the epidemic globally through its natural migration patters.. This seal symbolises pestilence and disease epidemics of various kinds which will lay low millions of people:

Rev.6: 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Any questions?

Oh, please. Monday-morning rationalizations.

Everyone thinks they know the mind of the Father.

Could one of you show us where and when exactly that Hal Lindsey stated in writing or otherwise that the world was going to end in the 80s?? Any Christian that knows Bible Doctrine, especially Revelations, knows that the world will never end. It will go through drastic changes but no where does the Bible state that it will end. (note: in almost every case in the Bible where the words say "end of the world", in the original languages, it means end of the "age" or "era", not the end of the world.

I'm not going to insult the man, but I did read "The Late Great Planet Earth" in the middle 1970s and distinctly recall hearing about the 10-headed beast being the Common Market and the single generation after the creation of Isreal pointing to the Second Coming sometime in the mid-80s. He's just one of many who have gotten entranced with the idea that they can see patterns and shapes hidden in the words of the Bible, and I can't fault him for that. It's a human flaw to see patterns where none exist. In his favor, he's not ready to instigate thermonuclear war to facilitate the arrival of the next kingdom like the current president of Iran's obsession with the Twelfth Imam.

He/She is confusing Hal with Harold Camping, self proclaimed theological genius (with zero theological training). Hhe set a date in the 80's. When nothing occurred he decided he still was right, the world was wrong, and went off to lead a cult where he only holds devine knowledge. Probably has about 20 koolaid drinking followers.

In The Late Great Planet Earth

Lindsey wrote that the Apocalypse would come within the generation of the founding of Israel and he said that a generation is "something like forty years."

A normal person reading the book would take that as a prediction that in or around the year 1988 the Apocalypse would occur.

Any Christian that knows Bible Doctrine, especially Revelations, knows that the world will never end.

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." - Matthew 24:35.

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." - 2 Peter 3:10

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." Revelations 21:1.

To the contrary, anyone who actually reads the Bible instead of reading screeds by Hal Lindsey, knows that the world will end.
