We have a woman at work that hums and whistles non stop. I don't have to be around her all the time but a fair amount of people do. I don't know how they keep their sanity. If i am around her more than 2 or 3 minutes I am ready to go postal. What is the matter with people like this?????

When my parents worked, they weren't allowed to talk or make noise until break time, which usually was just l/2 hour lunch break. You had no radios at the desk, no phone calls allowed, had to dress and smell clean and respectfully, etc. I don't know how workers are productive today.

The worst I saw was in a convalescent hospital, where government has again wrongly stepped in and by law now they are not allowed to turn off a patient's beeping room bell until they actually are in the room. So the nurses have to do all their charting, preparing precise medication doses right there at the nursing station where it is LOUD and continual BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP, for hours, day and night.
