YES. being a TRUE southerner has NOTHING to do with skin-tone. it has to do with HONOR & DEVOTION to one's own family, count/parish & STATE.

the CSA's OVER 100,000 BLACK VOLUNTEERS, 30-40,000 AmerIndians, @1500 Asians & many Latinos "put the lie to" the SILLY idea that dixie LIBERTY was a "white man's cause" early in 1861, when they came in DROVES & fought with GREAT bravery to help FREE dixie from the invaders.

otoh, being a SCALAWAG & turncoat relieves any southerner of being polite & "nice" in dealing with you.
