well "mac", since you aren't able to read/UNDERSTAND Army Regulations & tell the forum-members ACCURATELY what IS/IS NOT "authorized for wear" on a military uniform,she would be wasting her time in trying to explain anything more complicated to you.

What's the point? According to you, there are no real rules. As you said up the thread, trying to explain why you weren't wearing the "retired" insignia on your uniform (at a political event):

"Army Regulations" are for the GUIDANCE of the COMMANDER & STAFF. they did NOT come down from "the mountain, graven in stone".
