You have difficulty with analogies, I see. It would be more like a German citizen complaining to the relatives of Adolf Hitler trying to get their hands on royalties from Mein Kampf. Adolf actually led their country into disaster, just like Jefferson Davis. Most mentally healthy Jews know it's a recipe for unhappiness to live in 1941 when it's 2006. You should do the same. It's not 1861 any more.

In any event, you're not a survivor of the Civil War, so no, the analogy does not hold anyway. Regardless of any perceived wrongs, the south started the war. The Japanese thought they were justified in bombing Pearl Harbor too, but any way you slice it, the Confederacy fired the first shot, just like he Japanese Empire did in 1941.

Like I said, Jeff Davis and his gang started the party but couldn't stay up all night to finish it. Maybe they should have thought more about what they were doing before they got all uppity.
