So in other words you have no problems with people being locked up without trial, laws ignored, constitutions being trashed, and civilains being murdered so long as it was the confederacy doing all that?

as for President Davis, he didn't even WANT to be POTCSA. instead he wanted to be a GENERAL in the PACSA.

Instead the confederacy got a twofer. An incompetent as president acting as an incompetent commander in chief. Jeff Davis did more to win the war for the Union than Sheman and Grant combined.

actually, Jeff Davis was a GOOD military officer & had been a HERO in the Mexican War.

he was a lousy POTCSA, though.
