July 25, 2006 -- ESPN yesterday fired analyst Harold Reynolds from Baseball Tonight, sources told The Post. The reason was not immediately known.

"We are not going to comment," ESPN VP Josh Krulewitz said.

When asked how they are going to explain that Reynolds will never be on the air again, Krulewitz still declined comment.

Morgan & Miller a great team of idiots. Morgan who sits in the broadcast booth, reads the lips, the minds of players, then relays what the players are saying and thinking to the audience. Morgan who knows how to play every position better than anyone else.

Miller then tries to out do "pumping arm" Joe.

As a Red Sox fan, when ESPN AKA eastern sports national league network, broadcasts the Sox, I watch ESPN and listen to Sox radio station. FOX sports announcer's aren't much better than M & M

I was not aware that Gammons had a stroke. I hope he survives and lives another 30 years. I still think holds unreasonable sway over what goes on with the broadcasts. Although he had all the dirt and knew baseball pretty well, he is/was quite unbearable to watch and listen to.

If that makes me a dumbass then so be it, d*&#head.

I guess he was one of the lucky ones.
GAMMONS OUTLOOK: ESPN has no timetable on when Baseball Hall of Fame reporter Peter Gammons will return, but the fact he has been transferred to a rehab center in Cape Cod near his home three weeks after a June 27 brain aneurysm is encouraging. Doctors have told the 61-year-old... that he is expected to make a full recovery without any brain damage.

Is there ANYONE worse than Brent Mussberger? He is THE most self absorbed sports announcer I've ever seen (next to NY Yankees play by play guy John Sterling that is).

Wilbon and (especially) Rhoden are class-A Clymers, and just part of the reason why the four-letter network is so unwatchable. Toss in Stuart Scott (can I get a booooyah?) for good measure.

I always enjoyed Reynolds while he broadcast from the Little League World Series. He seemed like he genuinely liked being there. Of course, Brent Musberger takes over for ABC for the finals and the quality of the broadcasts plummet.

I like Miller but what is the deal with his hair? What other bald 70 year old is going with the mop-top look?

I can't really stomach ESPN for very long. I'm outside the 18-39 yo demographic that they target. Every segment or story is a dumbed down sound bite for the attention span impaired.

I'm guessing you're right. That's about the only thing I can think of that Disney would fire someone for.

I agree on both counts. I actually have turned off college football games I have really wanted to see because Mussberger is so intolerable.

What did he do, make an offhand comment that he supported George Bush?

Same here. I try and "tune him out" for awhile, but you can only take so much.

"You're lookin' LIVE at Soldier Field in Chicago!"

Aaaaaaaaaaaaarghhh!!!

And you know what else? I don't want to SEE the motherfu*kers who do TV play-by-play... I just want to... HEAR them. Let'm do their glib commentary and get their face shots on those sports, panel shows... just show up and do the game!
