It is about time. This is the furst article like this I have seen. Instead of trying to be helpful, both media and pols have shamelessly exploited the gas prices to get people upset. I got so mad at O'Reilly I stopped watching him. With a degree from the Kennedy school, he should know econ better. The only proposals dem pols have come up with are to increase the take government gets. No relief for consumers.

Public transport is a ruse, though. It is less fuel efficient.

New Yorkers have the right idea...they walk.

But most other US cities don't function that way, are too spread out, no subway, lots of suburb shopping centers.

Even rural Americans don't walk to town anymore.

If I could afford Manhattan, I would join them in their walking. :)
