Last day! Floyd Landis is in the Yellow Jersey.
15:40 - Johan Bruyneel (Discovery Channel) We will consider some changes
This is a Tour in a period of transition, said the team director who guided Lance Armstrong to his seven successive victories, Johan Bruyneel. We wore the yellow jersey and won a stage but our objectives were greater than that. Popovych is a rider with a lot of class who is also very aggressive. Right now, however, we will consider some changes that should allow us to be better next year. I believe we need to be more focused on having just one leader.
LOL Levi Leipheimer just gave all the announcers a start. He sprinted off the front of the pack like he was attacking. Got a lead of a few hundred yards. Stopped. Got off his BIke and Applauded as Floyd Landis and the other Jersey leaders rode by.
2 Gustave Eiffel masterpieces!
Wonderful!!! Still w/o TV here, think I'm gonna buy my first Tour DVD this year!
Me either, that's why we started the Snarky Comments Diversionary Thread! WTF was it?
Oscar Perreiro has been riding next toLandis chatting all morning. THe entire Phonak team is riding at the head of the Peleton, Landis and the other Jerseys are riding side by side behind them, and each team is coming up and cycling through congratulating each of the champions.

Beautiful picture of La Liberte! I already had Chou-chou's website. In fact, I think I broke his hit # counter last week! Thanks!
Interesting map, does the course pass through Panne d'Essence, Creve, Coup Fourré, As du Volan, Roulez, Roue de Secours or Milles Bornes?
I saw that, was wondering, like you, WTF it said!
I missed #54 too! If yall find out what it was let me know.
Well, everyone take care. I am going to go relax and watch the Open Championship. I will keep an eye on the "race" and be back if anything unexpected happens, and barring that for the celebration of the finish.
Commish, I have a feeling you'll have plenty of company over there. Say hi to Baynative for us!
3:43 PM Leipheimer
Has scampered off the front... an attack? Nope. The man from Montana, pulls over gets off the road and begins applauding the peloton. Nice. A touch of class.
3:48 PM Speaking of class acts...
Folks will long remember Floyd Landis's stunning stage 17 performance. It was clearly one of the best-ever in the Tour. But a lot of us will remember the class Landis showed not just on that day, but on the evening after Stage 16. Landis didn't need to sit around and explain himself that night, but he called an impromtu press conference and started it with:
"First of all, I want you to now believe me when I say I respect you guys, because this is the last thing in the world I want to do. Anyway, what are the questions? I think I can guess, but let's hear it." And he was smiling.
4:00 PM With 89km to go
The "mellowton" is cruising at a very relaxed pace.
Ekimov will be the first on the Champs. It's his last Tour.
Yeah, kinda sad. Eki's like the Energizer Bunny -a great rider!(He's like almost 40 or something? Amazing that he's still going!)
